Connecting Your Bank

Connecting a bank account is what unlocks the money side of DetailerMade. Once you're connected and approved, you can accept card payments for jobs, collect booking deposits, charge cancellation fees, and have your funds paid out directly to your bank.

Bank connection is done on the website at detailermade.com/account — it can't be done in the mobile app. The app shows your connection status and will point you to the website to finish.

Before You Start

To connect a bank, you'll need:

  • To be a US citizen, and the signer must be 18 or older.

  • A valid business checking account. Personal checking accounts are not accepted, and neither are fintech-style accounts like Chime, Venmo, or Cash App. If you submit an account we can't accept, you'll be notified.

  • Details for every business owner with at least 25% ownership.

  • A document that verifies your DBA address — a Business License, Business Permit, or EIN Letter that shows your DBA name and address.

Starting the Connection

On detailermade.com/account, find the Payout Details card and tap Connect Bank Account.

The form walks you through a few steps:

Step 1: User

Your personal details as the signer — name, date of birth, SSN, phone number, and confirming you're a US citizen.

Step 2: Business

Your business details — legal business name, DBA (if different), Tax ID (EIN/SSN), business type, address, website, description, and business phone number.

Step 3: Bank

Your business checking account details — bank name, routing number, and account number (entered twice to confirm) — plus a few questions about your card volume and typical ticket size.

Step 4: Owners

Every owner with at least 25% ownership, including their name, date of birth, SSN, contact info, title, and ownership percentage. Use Add Another Owner if your business has more than one.

Step 5: DBA Verification

Upload a document that verifies your DBA address — choose the document type (Business License, Business Permit, or EIN Letter) and upload it. PDFs must be under 2MB; JPEG and PNG files can be up to 10MB.

Step 6: Review & Submit

Review everything, confirm you have the authority to connect the account, confirm it's a valid business checking account, agree to the terms, and submit.

What Happens After You Submit

Connecting a bank includes a verification step, so you won't always be approved instantly.

  • After you submit, your status shows as pending / under review, and you'll see a message letting you know our underwriting team may reach out for extra verification.

  • If anything else is needed, you'll get an email from [email protected] — usually within 24 hours on business days (sometimes you may hear back over a weekend). From there, it's up to you to respond.

  • If you provide everything needed, accounts are typically approved and ready to accept payments within 2 business days.

  • Until you're approved, you can't accept card payments through DetailerMade — so keep collecting payment manually (cash, check, etc.) in the meantime. See Payments & Invoicing.

How Payouts Work

Once you're approved and accepting card payments:

  1. Payments are collected throughout the day as your clients pay.

  2. All payments received before 11:00 PM MST are batched together that day.

  3. Batches are processed at 2:00 AM MST into a single deposit.

  4. Funds arrive in your bank in 1–2 business days, depending on your bank (some banks may take up to an additional 24 hours, and may treat Mondays/holidays differently).

Fees: card payments are charged 2.99% + $0.30 per transaction, and there's a $0.30 fee per deposit to cover the transfer cost.

You can review your deposits anytime from the Payment Batches section on your account page — filter by a date range to see the batches in that period.

Updating Your Bank

Already connected and need to change your bank account? From the Payout Details section, tap Update Bank.

You only need to provide your new bank information — bank name, account number (entered twice), and routing number — along with a voided check or a bank letter that clearly shows your business name, account number, and routing number. You don't have to fill out the entire application again.

A bank update does go through review, but it's typically quick. The same rules apply — it must be a valid business checking account (no personal accounts, and no Chime/Venmo/Cash App-style accounts). If you submit an account we can't accept, you'll be notified.
