DetailerMade 1.4.0 — Run your whole crew from one app

This update, we introduce three big new features. Quality checks, Training Guides, and Payroll Runs.We also added minor features and improvements across the app.

Released June 20, 2026

This is our biggest release yet. Until now, DetailerMade handled the front of your business — bookings, jobs, clients, payments. With 1.4.0, we're taking on the back of it too: paying your team, tracking their time, training them, and holding the work to a standard. Plus a new Lead Insights tab and a long list of improvements that make the app faster and nicer to use every day.

Here's everything that's new.

Payroll [BETA]

Stop exporting hours into a spreadsheet. DetailerMade now turns the work your team already logs into a reviewable, lockable pay run — no separate tool required.

  • Two ways to pay. Hourly employees are paid from their tracked time, split into regular and overtime based on your rules. Job-percentage employees automatically earn a cut of the completed jobs they were assigned to.

  • Compensation history. Give each employee a pay rate with an effective date. Raises don't overwrite the past — you keep a full history, and every pay run uses the rate that was active at the time.

  • Run, review, approve. Pick a date range (we'll suggest the next cycle for you), and DetailerMade builds a draft with every line item — down to the exact time entries and jobs it counted. Add bonuses or deductions, then approve. Approving locks the period so the numbers can't shift after the fact.

  • Records you can keep. Export any pay run to CSV for your books.

Why it matters: tallying hours and job revenue by hand is slow, error-prone, and leaves no paper trail. Payroll gives you an auditable pay run tied to real work.

Time Logging

Payroll is only as good as the hours behind it, so we built clock-in/clock-out right into the app.

  • Employees tap Clock In to start, Clock Out to stop, and can log break minutes.

  • Time can be tied to a specific job, so you see exactly where the hours went.

  • Admins can add or edit entries manually.

  • Once an entry is part of an approved pay run, it's locked — so paid hours stay consistent.

Why it matters: hourly pay needs an accurate, tamper-evident record. Now it lives in the same app as everything else.

Training Guides

Get new hires up to speed without repeating yourself, and prove they actually learned it.

  • Build guides from flexible blocks: rich text, images, video, file downloads, checklists, quizzes, and acknowledgment signatures.

  • Assign them by employee, team, or role — or to everyone at once. New hires get auto-enrolled when they join a team or role that has guides assigned.

  • Set due dates, require quizzes to be passed, and watch completion across your crew.

Why it matters: your standards stop living in people's heads. You get consistent onboarding and a record of who completed what — which matters for quality and liability.

Quality Checks [BETA]

Define what "done" means, and make sure it happens on every job.

  • Build checklists ("Interior QC", "Ceramic Coating QC") with items that can require a photo.

  • Assign them per team, per service, or per team-and-service.

  • When an employee works a matching job, the right checklists surface automatically. Required ones must be completed — with photos — before the job can be marked complete.

Why it matters: as you add employees, quality drifts and there's no proof the work was done right. Quality Checks enforce a consistent process and create a photo-backed record on every job.

New: Lead Insights

Your leads now have their own analytics tab, so you can see what's actually working:

  • Total leads and booked leads at a glance

  • Conversion rate — how many leads turn into booked jobs

  • Average contact time — how fast you're following up

  • Lead status distribution — where every lead stands

  • Leads by source and campaign conversion — which channels and campaigns pay off

  • Daily lead trends over time

  • Custom date filtering on time-based charts, so you can zoom into any window

Why it matters: you can finally tell which marketing is working and where leads are slipping through the cracks.

Improvements & fixes

A lot of polish landed in this release too:

  • Take photos directly in the app — no more switching to your camera roll.

  • Rebook a job in one tap from the job details page.

  • Redesigned job details page with a cleaner layout.

  • Cleaned-up UI and styling across the whole app.

  • Jump to a specific day quickly from the day view.

  • Unscheduled Time view — see the open slots you have available to fill.

  • Message send status — know when your messages actually went through.

  • Client job notifications — see every notification sent to a client for a job, right from the job details page.

  • Plus various bug fixes.
