Repeat clients are the backbone of a steady detailing business, but rebooking them every cycle gets tedious. Subscriptions let you set up a client's recurring visits once. DetailerMade books the first one, then schedules each visit after that and asks the client to confirm it by text.
This is about recurring jobs for your clients. For your own DetailerMade plan and billing, see the Subscription & Billing collection.
Subscriptions are available on the Choice and Exclusive plans.
How It Works
Build a subscription template: a reusable package with the service, add-ons, discount, and how often it repeats.
Create a subscription for a client from that template. The first visit is booked right away.
Each time you complete a visit, the next one is scheduled and your client gets a text to confirm or skip it. Confirmed visits go on your calendar as booked.
Step 1: Build a Template
Open Subscriptions and switch to the Templates tab. A template is a package you set up once and reuse for many clients. Choose:
A service and any add-ons to include.
A discount (optional), a good way to reward clients for committing.
A repeat interval, such as every two weeks.
Example, "Bi-Weekly Detail Package": full detail plus tire shine, 10% off, every 2 weeks.
If you later delete a service or add-on a template uses, the template shows a warning and can't be used for new subscriptions until you edit it.
Step 2: Create a Subscription
Open New Subscription and pick the client.
Choose the template.
Select the client's address. Subscriptions are for mobile service, so an address is required.
Add the client's vehicle(s).
Under Repeat on, pick the day of the week. Every visit lands on that weekday.
Set the start date and time and the duration.
Check the Scheduled Jobs Preview. It lists every planned visit and tells you if any clash with something already on your calendar. Clashes are marked in red; you can still save.
Leave Hold time for future visits on if you want those times blocked on your booking site. Turn it off to keep them open.
Tap Save.
The first visit appears on your calendar as a booked job and the client gets a text that their subscription is set up. No confirmation is needed for the first visit; agreeing to the subscription is the agreement.
Future Visits on Your Calendar
Visits that haven't been scheduled yet show on your calendar as faded, dashed entries marked Projected, in day, week, month and list views.
With Hold time for future visits on, each one shows a lock and Held. Clients can't book those times online.
With it off, they show an open lock and Not held, and the times stay available.
Tap a projected visit to see the client and time, or to jump to the subscription. You can change the hold setting any time from Edit Subscription.
Confirming Each Visit
When you mark a visit Completed, the next one is created as Pending, one interval later, and the client gets a text: "Your next detail… tap to confirm or skip."
Confirm turns it into a booked job and the normal reminder texts follow.
Skip this one declines that visit. The subscription keeps going, and the visit after it is scheduled with its own text.
Tapping the link again after answering shows that it was already handled.
If the client calls you instead, open the Pending job and tap Confirm or Skip yourself.
If the next visit lands on a time that's already busy, it's still created as Pending and you get a push notification so you can move it.
When a client doesn't respond
Under Settings → Job Preferences → If a client doesn't respond, choose what happens when a Pending visit gets within 24 hours of its time with no answer:
Setting | What happens |
Hold & notify (default) | You get a text. The visit stays Pending until you decide. |
Auto-confirm | The visit is booked on its own. |
Auto-skip | The visit is declined on its own and the next one is scheduled. |
Pausing, Editing and Extending
Open a subscription to:
Pause it. Nothing already on your calendar is cancelled, no new visits are scheduled, and the projected visits disappear. Use it for a client's vacation.
Resume and pick a date. One new visit is created on that date as Pending.
Edit Subscription to change the interval, end date, address or vehicles. Visits already on the calendar stay as they are; only the next visit onward changes.
Subscriptions you created before this update already have every visit on the calendar. They keep running exactly as they were. When they reach their last visit they show as Expired. Tap Extend Subscription, pick a new end date, and after the last existing visit is completed the next one is scheduled and confirmed the new way.
Good to Know
All vehicles on a subscription get the same service and add-ons. That's what the template defines.
Editing a template won't change subscriptions that already exist. Only new subscriptions pick up the change.
Visits stay at the same clock time across daylight saving changes.
Each visit is a normal job. You can still move or adjust a single visit when life happens.
The client can confirm or skip, not reschedule. If they need a different time, change the job from your side.
