Adding Services

Services are the foundation of your booking site. Before customers can schedule
anything, you need to define what you offer. Detailermade organizes your menu into
three layers: Categories, Services, and Add-ons

Understanding the Structure

  • Categories - Organize your offerings by type (Interior, Exterior, Both, or
Other). Each category gets its own color that shows on your calendar.

  • Services — Your actual packages (e.g., "Base Exterior," "Gold Full Detail") with
    pricing, duration, and descriptions.

  • Add-ons — Optional extras customers can add on (e.g., "Tire Shine," "Pet Hair
Removal"). Add-ons are smart — they only appear for the relevant service type

Creating a Category

  1. Navigate to Services in your dashboard and tap the + button to create a new
    Category.

  2. Enter a clear category name (e.g., "Interior Packages," "Exterior Packages").

  3. Select the category type: INTERIOR, EXTERIOR, BOTH, or OTHER. This controls
    which add-ons customers see.

  4. Choose a color — it'll appear on your calendar to visually separate job types.

  5. Toggle the category ON and tap SAVE

Creating a Service

  1. Inside your category, tap + to add a new Service.

  2. Enter the service name, description, and duration.

  3. Set a base price. Optionally tap + Add Price to set vehicle-specific pricing (sedan, SUV, truck, etc.).

  4. Toggle the service ON and tap SAVE.

Vehicle-specific pricing applies automatically during booking — customers see the correct price based on their vehicle type without any extra steps.

Creating Add-ons

  1. From the Services page, switch to the Add-ons tab and tap +.

  2. Enter the add-on name, description, duration, and price.

  3. Select the category type (INTERIOR, EXTERIOR, BOTH, or OTHER) to control when this add-on appears.

  4. Tap SAVE

Setting Business Availability

Your business availability determines what booking slots customers see on your
booking site. Getting this right ensures customers only book during times you're
actually working — and protects your schedule from double-bookings

Setting Your Business Hours

  1. Go to Business Profile in your dashboard.

  2. Tap EDIT next to Business Hours.

  3. For each day, set your opening and closing times using the time picker.

  4. Toggle days ON (green) for working days or OFF (gray) for closed days.

  5. Tap Save

Booking Configuration

Inside Business Profile, you can also fine-tune how online bookings work:

  • Online Booking Toggle — Enable or disable your public booking site at any
    time.

  • Concurrent Job Limit — Set how many jobs can be booked at the same time
(e.g., if you run one crew, set this to 1).

  • Buffer Time — Add padding between appointments so you're never rushed from
    one job to the next.

  • Booking Deposits — Require upfront payment to confirm a booking and reduce
    no-shows.

  • Cancellation & Weather Policies — Display your policies during booking so
    customers acknowledge them before confirming

Style & Bio

Customize how your booking site looks to customers by adding a business
description and selecting brand colors under Style & Bio in your Business Profile. A
polished booking page builds trust before a customer even selects a service

As a business owner or employee, you can always create jobs outside of your set business hours when needed — these restrictions only apply to the public booking site

Creating Clients

Client profiles are the heart of your customer relationships in Detailermade. Each
profile stores contact details, service addresses, vehicle information, and full job
history — making every rebooking faster and every appointment better informed

How Clients Are Added

  • Manually by you — Create a client profile directly from the Clients section in
    your dashboard.

  • Automatically — When a customer books through your online booking site, a
client profile is created for them instantly

Creating a Client Manually

  1. Navigate to Clients in your dashboard and tap +.

  2. Enter the client's First Name, Last Name, and Phone (required).

  3. Add Email (recommended — used for invoices and booking confirmations).

  4. Tap SAVE

Adding Client Details

After creating a client, their profile has four tabs you can fill out:

  • Addresses — Add home, work, or custom locations. Include notes like gate codes
or parking instructions so your team is always prepared.

  • Vehicles — Add their vehicles with make, model, type, and body style. Pricing is
automatically applied based on vehicle type at booking.

  • Jobs — A full history of every service completed for this client.

  • Subscriptions — View any active subscription plans tied to this client

Clients who book through your online booking site automatically receive portal access via Phone Number (OTP sent to phone) — they can log in to manage their own addresses, vehicles, and view past jobs, reducing your
admin work
